Verses 1-3 remind us of God's love and Holiness. I dare say as sinners we don' t get the Greatness and Holiness of a sinless all knowing God.
Verses 4-9 Tell us of Creation and how it was formed again out of His tremendous love for us. God knew our needs before we were created. How amazing is our God. Still in 2010 no scientist can make what God made in the creation. His wonders never cease.
Verses 10-16 talk about taking the Jewish nation out of Egypt, and his watch and care over them in time of need. Every need he took care of with love. We forget in our busy day how God provides for us out of His love and mercy.
Verses 17-22 We will remember that God helped them win victory over enemies. Giving the Israelite their nation. This is a small picture of our Lord Jesus being given to us in victory over sin. All this because of his Love for us.
Verses 21-26 For me were the great conclusion leading to "our Redeemer" and who is that? Of Course, Jesus! The Old Testament continually talks about our blessed Redeemer . Why? Because God loves us so much "He sent His only begotten son" that was the plan even back in the Old Testament. How Long will He love us? "His mercy endureth for ever!!"
What does "His Mercy endurth for ever" mean? Well one way it has been described is "His love endures forever" another "His love never quits". Did you know that? According to this chapter the God of the universe never quits loving you and me.
Even when we are unlovely, sinning and let God down...........God's love never quits. Repeat that today 26 times in the chapter and let God fill you with his perfect love that redeems us and give thanks today.
I love you so in the Lord, Brooke
